This past year the Oholei Torah Mesivta, under the direction of Rabbi Zushe Wilhelm, learned mesechtas p’sochim.
Some students did not just learn the mesechta, they also learned much of it by heart.
A group of bochurim were tested on 100 daf of the gemorah, and another group on ½ of the mesechta.
In addition, a special group “Chasanai Torah” learned the entire mesecha ba’al peh, ½ with rashi and ½ with Tosofos. For this group of 15 bochurim, a test was given by Rabbi Gavriel Tzinner, a well known Posek, author of Netie Gavriel and one who was close with the Rebbe.
These 15 bochurim are M.M. Katz, M. M. Cohen, S.B. Kirsch, Eli Landa, Leibel Pape, M. Nemirovsky, Shmuel Horowitz, Chaim Meizlish, Nissin Wilmosky, M.M. Kagan, Meir Liberow, Shmuel Simpson, Y.Y. Liberow, M.M. Barber and Yisroel Yarmak.
