Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, Michel Klein, just released his first single online titled “From Jacob”.
Michel has been playing piano, singing, and writing music since he was five years old. He currently is pursuing his doctoral studies in music composition at UCLA with an emphasis in Jewish ethnomusicology. He hopes to take the musical treasures of Lubavitcher nigunim and share them with a broader audience.
The inspiration for the song “From Jacob” came during the three weeks. It describes the struggle of a person trying to imagine what the times of Moshiach will be like while still living in a world that is broken and full of darkness. This song embodies the striving of the Jewish people to bring Moshiach into a more tangible reality and the hope that it will come to fruition soon.
The recording features Laura Melnicoff from New York on cello.
How can we get more of his recordings?
Sorry, I made a mistake comment #36. The sicha said that we’ll still say Moshich NOW in Moshiach times, because we’ll want a higher revelation(I don’t know which sicha.)
Beautiful 🙂
Actually we still will scream Ad Mosai in Moshiach times.
Awesome song from an awesome Chassid. – Michael Mordechai and Sarah Rachel Cohen

Lyrics: There’s a house that’s burning on a hill two thousand years and its burning still Scattered out from Babylon and Rome, while we’re trying to find our way home Although we’ve fallen we stay strong While countless nations have come and gone All the centuries of wandering, with His praise on our lips we sing The prayers of our offering Its what got us through everything His praise on our lips we sing. Like sand in the ocean bed, nature is infinite A ray that lives in the sun, a truth to be in time to come. From Jacob… Read more »

Absolutely beautiful!!!
(First comment ever) How wonderful it is to hear a masculine voice (less and less common these days,) singing well written lyrics that flow with the tune. You are not “the next” anyone. You are wonderfully unique in our little world of Jewish music. Never conform, never conform, never conform, to the simplistic repetitive redundant platitudinous noise that passes for music because someone was on a trip in the 60’s and now we have a gospel “genre” that is better suited to teach Pesukim to children (a noble cause) then entertain and mature adults with anything less then a tin… Read more »
