The creative team of Shmideo.com came up with an innovation that attracted hundreds of people of all ages at the third annual Pittsburgh Mini Maker Faire was held in Pittsburgh on Sunday, August 18.
The expo is a premier event for grassroots American innovation with large-scale and Mini Maker Faires that have expanded worldwide to more than 80 cities and communities.
Visitors were greeted by the puppet Rabbi Itche Kadoozy and the creative staff of the new comedy and contest website Shmideo.com. They went through a door post which recognized their presence and asked them to place their hand a kiss.
A special handout was given out explaining the meaning and purpose of the Mezuzah. Dovid Taub said they will soon be offering a full demo and instructions for building your own.
Since their launch, the site has been attracting positive feedback online as well. “I can honestly say that I didn’t even know there was Hasidic comedy, but how they structured the campaign is an excellent example of how to do it,” one blogger wrote. “I was impressed enough with their efforts that I donated. ”
There is only 24 hours to join their crowdfunding campaign to keep their creative ideas flowing. You can contribute until Sunday at midnight and enjoy some perks they are offering. More here

ONLY Chabad, thank G-d.
For making Yiddishkite so accessible and “displayed” as a m’chaya to haolam – which I feel is not even come close to elsewhere in Yiddishkite (you got me, too, thank G-d) – I love you 🙂
Your work is a kiddush Hashem.
The Rebbe must be shepping nachas, yasher koach and continued koach and hatzlacha!
Great job! This is the way to introduce yiddishkeit to the world in a way of pleasantness and peace.
