For over three years, Chaim Levi Cohen worked at the fundraising platform Charidy.com, helping organizations realize their dreams by maximizing their potential.
Now, he is using the same platform and is asking the public’s help in realizing his personal dream.
Rabbi Chaim Levi, his wife Yehudis (nee Dubinsky) and their daughter Mimi, are moving on Shlichus to Loudoun County in Virginia, this Thursday.
A day after the 18th of Elul, the birth of the Baal Shem Tov and the Alter Rebbe, the Cohens are birthing the light of Chassidus into a county with an estimated 6,000 Jews.
“Your help today will literally ignite the spark and ensure that the flame of Yiddishkeit burns bright for many years to come,” they said.
Under the auspices of Rabbi Sholom Deitsch, Loudoun County is home to Dulles International Airport and the largest data centers in the world. Very attractive to young families, it has a median age of 35.5, and the highest per-family income in the country.
Coupled with the soon-to-be-completed Silver Line (Washington Metro) Railroad connecting Loudoun to Washington, DC Metro, its 520 square-miles are primed for infinite growth.
“Being on Shlichus in the region for 28 years, we always knew that Loudoun County was waiting for the perfect couple to tap its potential and bring the dynamism of Chabad to its people,” said Rabbi Deitsch. “Yehudis and Chaim Levi are the perfect couple — we are very excited to support them on this new endeavor.”
