In conjunction with the Shloshim of Rebbetzin Esther Teitelbaum obm, Oholei Torah is hosting a Shloshim in her memory in the East Flatbush kindergarten, which was so dear to her heart.
The gathering will be held at 7:00 pm, on Sunday, 11 Tishrei, which is known to be called G-ht’s Tohg – “G-d’s Day”. How appropriate this is, being Rebbetzin Teitelbaum was one who devoted her life to be a servant of Hashem, in every day of her life.
Rebbetzin Teitelbaum stood by her husband, Reb Michoel, as they together gave their lives to build Oholei Torah, the Rebbe’s yeshiva, and for which thousands of talmidim are forever grateful. Such great Chassidim laid the foundation for Oholei Torah, and for so many other projects, all doing so with great Mesirus nefesh, and complete devotion to the Rebbe.
The gathering will take place Sunday evening in the East Flatbush Kindergarten, known as the Popack Building, 407 East 53rd Street between Snyder and Tilden Avenues. Both men and woman are invited to join.
There will be a seudas mitzvah in conjunction with a siyum, and a video presentation will be shown, many parts for the very first time.
Valet Parking will be provided.
We hope you will join in the Shloshim event, as a show of respect to one who was a most integral part of Oholei Torah, and a role model for so many.
however cant go wrong with a seuda, farbreingen , honor –
the stricter minhogim one practices during the first 30 days i imagne are nullified.
It is fitting that the school should honor this great lady with some kind of Chassidishe gathering. She was such a sweet & aidel person, she used to come to our Shul sometimes.
Please excuse my ignorance, but I thought Shloshim was canceled when a Yom tov comes before the 30 day mark (in this case, Rosh Hashana)? Can someone enlighten me, we should never need to know.
mrs winner is a rebbetzin! Its amazing how much time and energy she dedicated to helping Rebbetzin Teitelbaum! She should be bentched in everything!
