Shalom Shapiro, OBM

Shalom Shapiro, a student of Moscow Jewish University, was killed in a terrible car accident on Friday, 11 Teves, 5778.

Shalom was in an accident which occurred on the road between Rostov and Sochi, in Russia.

Another student, Shimon ben Irina Nisenov, was critically injured in the accident and remains in serious condition.

Both of the young men had attended the Ohr Avner school in Rostov.

Chief Rabbi of Rostov, Shliach Rabbi Chaim Danziger, says that the injured student is now being treated in Sochi.

The levaya of the Shalom Shapiro will take place in Rostov, with the participation of the director and Rabbi of the university, Rabbi Shalom Ber Goldberg and many of his fellow students.
