The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch Wednesday for several counties in New York, northeast New Jersey and southern Connecticut until 9:00 pm.
Storms and even an isolated tornado could hit the area according to the National Weather Service.
“The main threat with any thunderstorms today will be strong, damaging winds and hail. An isolated tornado can not be ruled out,” the weather service’s hazardous weather outlook from Wednesday morning reads.
A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of CT, ME, MA, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT until 9 PM EDT.
