NY City Council Member Darlene Mealy honored two community members of Crown Heights, Rabbi Shimon Hertz, Director of Shalom Senior Center and Mr. Colin Karl Cohen, President of the 71st Pct. Council.
Rabbi Hertz was credited for his tireless work on behalf of the seniors who attend the center. Also noted was the fact that this center caters to all community residents and respects the many different local cultures.
Mr. Cohen was recognized for his dedication to the 71st Pct and the residents it protects. Mr. Cohen was applauded as well for his work in bringing the community together for the common cause of safety and goodwill.
Also present was Constituent Liaison to Council Member Mealy, Mrs. Arna Lipkind.
