A search effort is underway to find a young Yeshiva bochur from Montreal who went missing while hiking on a trail in Killington, Vermont, on Wednesday night.
The 15-year-old is from a Chabad family and is a student of Mesivta Kerem Menachem of Montreal. He is currently participating in the Machane Pioneers Camp in Northfield, Vermont.
He was last seen at around 9:00 PM on Wednesday night, Yeshiva World News reported. Located some 4 hours from Monsey, the town of Killington is located in the Green Mountains and known for the Killington and Pico Mountain downhill ski resorts.
Assisting authorities in the search mission are volunteers from the Chaveirim organization of Rockland, NY, who are trained in the mountains of Harriman State Park, Bear Mountain area, and other mountainous locations.
They are heavily equipped with all types of search and rescue equipment including state of the art command center, with high-end radio communications, the website reported.

volunteers needed?
Did he not have a phone with him?
No he wasn’t allowed a phone in camp
It’s no reception there…but each camper need kind of gps tracking device for such an activity
Has he been found? Sending Prayers he is found safely. Might be a good idea to do a buddy system from here on out. Much like the Boy Scouts of America.
