Running for a third term, Mayor Michael Bloomberg unveiled his re-election Web site this week.
The website www.mikebloomberg.com is accessible to visitors in 12 languages, including Haitian Creole, Hindi, Arabic, and Yiddish the site will allow visitors to read about endorsements, volunteer efforts and events. The site will also be a reference for Bloomberg’s platform for re-election.
“Our new website will help spread the mayor’s message of good, independent, non-partisan government to voters across the five boroughs ,” said Bradley Tusk, Bloomberg for Mayor 2009 campaign manager.
“It will help us continue to attract new volunteers, amplify the many endorsements the mayor is receiving from across the political spectrum, and make sure that we use new technology to fully integrate every aspect of this campaign.”
The Web site will detail Bloomberg’s economic plan and views on how to promote job creation, improve education and public safety, create affordable housing and better public health.
The site also features a blog by Howard Wolfson. Wolfson’s first entry is about the political diversity of the staffers hired for the Bloomberg reelect.
Bloomberg has put together a team of all-stars — in an even numbered year most of these folks would be working on national campaigns — despite the fact that he faces no real opposition in his campaign for a third term.
