A matching funds campaign will be launched at the conclusion of the Shloshim – 30 days since the tragic passing of Rabbi Aaron Eliezer Ceitlin, the beloved Shliach and renowned Mashpia from Tzfas.
“Everyone knows of his tremendous activities,” Rabbi Yitzchak Yehuda Yaroslavsky, the senior Chabad rabbi in Israel, wrote. “He established an empire of kindergartens that educates 1,300 children, he was heavily involved in bringing groups to the Rebbe.”
The continue the impactful work of Rabbi Ceitlin, who passed away at the age of 62, Chabad communities around the world are joining a global Charidy campaign to secure his legacy and to help ease the burden on his family.
Rabbi Ceitlin single-handedly raised large sums of money to support the network of Ganei Chabad kindergartens in Tzfas and his incredible activities of bringing hundreds of people from Israel of all ages, notably seminary girls, to the Rebbe each year.
He made Chassidim throughout the world through his unforgettable Farbrengens and words that came from his big, warm and sincere chassidishe heart, inspiring and literally transforming lives.
“In order for these institutions to be able to continue to function even stronger than before, his friends and the Shluchim in Israel and the world over have set up a special Emergency Fund,” Rabbi Yaroslavsky writes in a letter of support.
On Sunday, November 15, beginning at 12:00 PM noon Eastern Time, every dollar contributed to the Reb Aaron Leizer’s Charidy campaign will be quadrupled by 3 groups of generous matchers on the condition that the goal is met within 24 hours.
The Vaad of Shluchim overseeing the funds are Rabbi Yosef Gerlitzky – Tel Aviv, Rabbi Chaim Kaplan – Tzfas, Rabbi Menachem Gluckowsky – Rechovot and Rabbi Yosef Kramer – Tiberias, Israel.
“Reb Aharon Leizer was a legendary, giant of Chossid,” says Rabbi Moishe New, Director of the Montreal Torah Center in Hampstead, Quebec, who knew Rabbi Ceitlin from his Shlichus in Australia.
“He profoundly affected the lives of every person who had the privilege to have known him. He embodied the highest virtues demanded of a chosid – Bitul, Hiskashrus, Mesiras Nefesh, Avoda, Ahavas Yisroel and Emes.”
The friends of Rabbi appeal to each and every member of Anash to respond generously to this Charidy campaign so that his memory and life’s work live on.
