Sarah Halon, a beloved sister, aunt and great aunt to many, passed away on Thursday evening, 22 Shevat 5774.
She was 79.
A resident of the Lower East Side of Manhattan, she was a very warm and caring person who always had a special and kind word to each person she came in contact with.
She was a sister to Shoshana (Sophie) Fellig from Montreal.
She is survived by her brothers R’ Berel Halon of Crown Heights, and R’ Chaim Mayer Halon of Detroit, Michigan.
The levaya will take place on Friday leaving at 10:00 AM from at 201 East Broadway and will be passing 770 Eastern Parkway at approximately 11:15 AM, on the way to burial at the old Montefiore Cemetery in Queens.
Shiva will be at 1455 Carroll street on Motzei Shabbos, and Sunday Shachris will be at 9:30 AM. Shiva will then be at 415 Grand Street #E601, corner Clinton on the East Side.

I am vary sad to hear that tante Sara passed away. I will miss her dearly. She was so much fun to be around and I loved her presence at the Fellig shabbos table for many years.
