As the sole Jewish charities in serious contention for a prize of $100,000, two Chabad organizations are asking the Jewish community to do a Mitzvah before Rosh Hashanah.
This year, the Chase Community Giving contest runs right through Rosh Hashanah and ends on Wednesday, September 19th at 11:59pm.
For the Jewish organizations, the campaign will stop for Friendship Circle in the final 3 days due to Rosh Hashanah on Monday and Tuesday.
Friendship Circle of Greater Miami and Friendship Circle Manalapan, NJ, are asking all people to vote for them before Rosh Hashanah on the contest’s Facebook page and share the link with their friends.
Each person has two votes to cast for their favorite charity. These two organizations helping children with special needs and their families are asking for your vote.
Lasting for 2 weeks, the Chase Community Giving competition challenges thousands of nationwide non-profits to harness the power of social networking to gather the most votes.
The winning organization wins $250,000 from JP Morgan Chase. The subsequent top ten organizations win $100,000 and the next 35 receive $50,000.
