A newly renovated preparation room at the Rebbe’s Mikvah on Union Street in Crown Heights has been beautifully restored and inaugurated on Sunday.
Participants of the event presenting the room thanked the businessman Yerachmeal and Rivkah Leah Jacobson for their generous donation.
“The room had been in bad shape, and needed a full gut renovation,” Yerachmeal Jacobson told COLlive. “So I decided to dedicate the new room in honor of the 70th birthdays of our mothers, Mrs. Faigie Jacobson and Mrs. Shoshana Capland.”
The Jacobson family joined for the unveiling of a plaque and to say L’chaim in their honor today.
“In honor of our mothers who lovingly brought up their children instilling in them a love of Yiddishkeit, to their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren,” the plaque reads.

Let’s all not forget that the Rebbe sold 770 because the mikva was in need of repair, and the Rebbe took that money to renovate the mikva.
