Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 967 Nostrand Avenue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Located between Montgomery Street and Sullivan Place, the lot is three blocks north of the Sterling Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Colin Cohen of One Clove Road is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 162-foot-tall development will yield 132,256 square feet, with 53,678 square feet designated for residential space and 12,498 square feet for commercial use. The building will have 52 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,032 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have 39 enclosed parking spaces.
Caterina Roiatti of TRA Studio Architecture is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in May of this year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

This is a old story… where are all the big “landlords and developers” from our community which only know how to take the high rent from us but put up the developments for us… let the dump the rat infested apartments on the Yuppies too instead of giving it to Jews cuz we are the only ones that will take it
The real estate from the Satmar community come to crown heights and build all these condos and most of us cant afford it, How come the Labavitch community does not speak up against what is going on with the real estate in crown heights.
Brooklyn is one of the hottest real estate market in the country. What makes you think you can get a cheap aprtment here? What makes you think you deserve a cheap apt here? Its a free country and a free market. If you dont want to spend 1.1 mil for 4 bedroom condo with parking, buy a 6 bedroom house with a pool in pomona for 750. The choice is yours… no one owes you or anyone else anything
aren’t the ones assaulting Jews and slashing tires. They shop at our stores and eat at the high end restaurants, even if they don’t always eat kosher. That helps the local economy and keeps those Jewish business owners in the area. If we don’t have this kind of development then the other option is that Crown Heights ends up with more crime and decay and everyone moves out.
Will they dmolish the Associated supermarket for this project ?
