The Yeshiva Gedolah Lubavitch in London, England, has undergone major renovations recently, with both the interior and exterior of the building being updated and refurbished.
With the bulk of the work done during the month of Nissan so as not to disrupt the learning schedule, students returned from Pesach break to find the zal-study hall, dining room, kitchen, and other rooms newly renovated and looking like new.
The top floor where the bochurim Shluchim reside was renewed and redecorated as well.
During the first week after returning to Yeshiva, the bochurim shared their zal study hall with the local balei batim, who used it to Daven in while the smaller zal where they usually daven was completely gutted and rebuilt as well.
Learning continues as usual this week while workers finish off final decorative work.
The renovation was spearheaded and sponsored by a group of local Anash and supporters that daven regularly in the Yeshiva who decided that the building needed a facelift, COLlive was told.

HaBochur Hatommim Aron Ya’akov Wolko!!
It needed a facelift 16 years ago when I was there. כל הכבוד
Oh wow ! That is some major positive investment. Rabbi Rapport coming as new Maggid Shiur Shiur gimmel and redoing the building. That is the way to go.
They got rid of the blue carpet that’s been there since I was there in 1981. Nice floor, painted walls. First face lift in 35 years.
Good to cu.
🙂
