Registration for the annual International Kinus Hashluchos in Brooklyn, NY, has opened Monday with a new processing system and a new website.
At Kinus.com, Chabad Shluchos will also be able to find, alongside the registration, schedules, travel resources, photo galleries and guest program information.
“This system is going to make the registration process simple, fast and easy,” said organizers of the Kinus on behalf of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch.
The Kinus will take place from January 26-31, 2011 corresponding to 21-26 Shevat 5771.
The organizing committee, overseen by Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, is currently working on the details of the Kinus schedule which will contain, as they do each year, a wide range of workshops, seminars and Farbrengens filled with inspiration for the Shluchos to help them continue their valuable work during the coming year.
The general session on Thursday night, COLlive.com has learned, will feature once again two leading Chabad rabbis and halachic authorities – Rabbi Sholom Ber Chaikin of Cleavland, Ohio, and Rabbi Yosef Shusterman of North Beverly Hills, CA.
They will be on a panel discussion titled “Yosef in Mitzrayim: The Shlucha on Shlichus and Walking the Fine Line – How to be approachable and relatable and stay true to our mission, a Halachic perspective.”
Rabbi Chaikin will also present at a workshop entitled “Ethical Dilemmas on Shlichus Part One – the Shlucha and her family” which will be followed with a question and answer with discussion regarding personal health, family size, Chinuch issues and everything in between.
Rabbi Shusterman will present a separate workshop on Sunday, “Ethical Dilemmas on Shlichus Part Two – The Shlucha and her community.”
