This upcoming Monday night, Yud Alef Adar, March 5, The Beis Medrash will be hosting a grand Siyum HaRambam event.
“The goal here is to inspire and empower our comunity to learn Rambam daily and realize how it uplifts our day,” said Mendel Lakein, one of the organizers of the event.
The event will begin with a lecture by renowned scholar Rabbi Chaim Miller. His topic will be the Rambam’s philosophy, and how the philosophers in his day related to him and his approach to faith and logic.
Rabbi Moishe New, Director of The Montreal Torah Center, shliach and an inspirational teacher and orator, is being flown in to New York to address the crowd. Rabbi Ben-Tzion Krasniansky Shliach of Chabad of the Upper East Side in Manhattan will also be there to share his experiences as a teacher of the daily Rambam shiur for his Manhattan community.
Hatomim Baruch Shalom Davidson, who gives a daily Rambam shiur in The Beis Medrash, will talk about the fresh new beginning of the Rambam. Rabbi Baruch M. Lipskier, Director of The Beis Medrash, will address the theme of “The Rebbe, Moshiach and Reality.”
The event is for men and will be streaming live on Torahcafe.com as well as on Collive.com. A fleishig buffet will be served.
To co-sponsor and dedicate this community event for $1,000 please contact TBM by Friday at TheBeisMedrash@gmail.com. Or make a donation of any amount here: www.thebeismedrash.com/donate.
There is yet hope! Someone is not embarressed to talk about the Rebbe and Moshiach at an official community event. It seems like everyone is so anti from most comments. What a relief!
