Last night’s Siyum HaRambam was not only a celebration of completing the study cycle of Rambam, but also a platform to showcase how diverse groups of individuals maintain their commitment to daily study. The feature film “Rambam at 5:30AM,” presented during the event, highlighted this beautifully.
The film follows two distinct groups of friends who have each found innovative ways to explore and learn the Rambam’s teachings. At the heart of the film are members from Beis Shmuel, who rise before dawn to study at 5:30 AM every day. This group’s dedication exemplifies the profound commitment and camaraderie that studying Rambam can foster.
In another inspiring story within the film, Achiezer Langsam and Mendy Gopin, founders of the Rambam Book Club, gather monthly to discuss a specific sefer in the Rambam they have been studying. Their approach brings a social, reflective dimension to engaging with the Rambam.
