The Monsey Chabad community is experiencing major expansion.
Despite rising real estate prices, young Chabad families are moving to greater Monsey. For the coming year the Cheder is opening its doors to 520 children BL”AH. Just 4 years ago the cheder student body was half its current size.
With this amazing expansion comes an ever expanding budget. After tuition and government funding the school will run at a deficit of $850,000 this coming year.
To assist with this expansion local donors have come forward with $250,000 as a challenge to empower the local parent body, friends, and family around the world to match their donation.
To break down this major goal and allow the parents to get involved, each family was given a family campaign page to share with their friends and family.
Over the coming days 220 families will raise a total of $520,000 to help open the doors for these 520 precious children.
