A Farbrengen to mark Yud Tes-chof Kislev was held in Lakewood, NJ Wednesday night, with renowned speaker and lecturer Rabbi Shais Taub.
The event was organized by local resident Yosef Shidler, Rabbi Moshe Gourarie of Chabad of Toms River and Rabbi Shmuel Naparstek of Chabad of Jackson, NJ.
“It is so powerful to see a Yud Tes Kislev Farbrengen taking place here in Lakewood, as was seen recently in a JEM Interview with Rabbi Nissen Mangel, who told how the Rebbe encouraged the learning of Tanya in Lakewood,” said Yosef Shidler.
The Farbrengen was held at Ridge Terrace Hall at 831 Ridge Avenue in Lakewood, beginning with a Shiur for women at 8:00 PM followed by a farbrengen at 9:30 PM.
Just that day, it was announced that Shlucha Henya Federman, who is fighting for her life, was transferred to a hospital in Lakewood, New Jersey.
Amazed at the Hashgacha protis that Henya will be in a Lakewood hospital on that day, organizer of the event Yosef Shidler and speaker Rabbi Shais Taub announced that the event will be held in the merit of the miraculous recovery of Henya bas Bracha Devorah Leah.
The Lakewood Farbrengen is one of many that have been organized in the last few years in the city, with over 300 people attending last year’s Yud Tes Kislev Farbrengen.
