Rabbi Saadia Jerufi, a Shliach and educator from Taanach, Israel, passed away on Tuesday, 11 Adar 1, 5784.
He served for many years as an educator in the Reshet Oholei Yosef Yitzchak Schools in Taanach and as a Shliach of the Rebbe in the community of Avital. Additionally, he worked as a Sofer STaM and a proofreader.
Rabbi Jerufi, who immigrated to Israel from Yemen with his family as a young child, studied in Chabad institutions. After his marriage, he joined the staff of the Reshet School network in Israel, where he influenced many youth and instilled in them values of Torah and Chassidus.
“Everyone knew him,” shared one of the residents of Taanach. “He greeted every person with a warm smile and brought many in the community closer to the Rebbe, Chassidus, and the observance of Torah and mitzvos.”
He is survived by his wife, Shulamis, and children, R’ Menachem Mendel Jerufi – Rechovot, R’ Shmuel Jerufi – Kiryat Motzkin, R’ Shneur Zalman Jerufi – Rechovot, R’ Chaim Jerufi – Crown Heights, R’ Yisrael Jerufi – Rechovot, Mrs. Shterna Sara Bosi – Arad, Mrs. Chana Yitzchak, Mrs. Nechama Dina Allouche – Rechovot, Mrs. Chaya Mushka Amran – Rechovot, and grandchildren.
The Levaya will take place today in Avital, Israel.

Oy, my heart breaks, there is no way to describe this very very special man. A Tzaddikim. A true Chossid, à pure Neshama, it was an honor to know him and learn from his daily actions, his Emunas Hashem and love of Torah and Mitzvos. Boruch Dayan Haemes.
