I am deeply shocked to learn of the petirah of Mendy O”H. As one of his teachers in Kita Dalet, a wonderful kind and aidel talmid, and the enthusiasm in his learning Mishnayos Baal Peh, May all the kindness that he performed in the short years he spent on earth, ensure a lichtige Gan Eden. My heart goes out to Reb Hershel, his wife, his children and siblings with Brochos of Nichumim and Arichus Yomim. To reiterate #26 המקום ינחם אתכם בתוך שאר אבלי ציון וירושלים ואך טוב וחסד , בטוב הנראה והנגלה, ימצא אתכם תמיד כל הימים, ויקיצו וירננו… Read more »
Oh how the beloved and dear Mendel Gorman was taken away from us!!!!! The Gormans are such an incredibly warm and loving family, and it’s so hard to hear and bear this tragic news.
May they only know of Simcha and revealed goodness from now on.
BDM Devori. We were so sorry to hear about your brother. There are no adequate words of consolation. May you and your family know of no more sorrow and may you go only from simcha to simcha from this time forth.

Lubavitch Shul of Ocean Parkway Flatbush.
The news about my dear friend Mendy hit me in the middle of my Purim celebration, that was the end of my happiness and serenity. I have known you for so many years, back in 770, you and your wife have graciously hosted me for entire weeks in a row at your house, and all without fanfare, always saying “come anytime you want, stay for as long as you need”..I was not a guest in your house rather like a ben bayis. I was amazed at your kishroynos in everything you got yourself into: from Chazzanus, to Safrus, to being… Read more »
He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
And a pleasure to be around. I spent time with him when he was in Melbourne.
May Hashem bring comfort to his lovely family, his parents, his wife and his dear children.
From an admirer.
May R’ Mendy be a guta beita and shturem the heavens that Moshiach should come Taikeph Umiyad Mamash! HYEBSATV
So terribly sorry to hear this tragic news. Thinking of you all
Standing outside the chabad house yesterday. Watching my dear friend Miriam and her children crushed and looking so lost, was heart breaking. My husband has lost his dear friend and chavrusa. My heart breaks for them all. Mendy always loved to say lchaim and his extensive wine and exotic whiskey which were always shared with his close friends. We have lost a great chassidic genius.
So sad! Ad Masai! how much longer?!? We need moshiach right now! i feel so bad for the kids… No more hashem!
I’m with you. from Brooklyn, as we were together in Yeshivah in 770. No words. Hashem should give you, your wife and your family great strength and from now only nachas and simches. May you continue your special talents as a Shliach Tzibur for many years.

Bde. rabbi gorman was truly a wonderful man. Due to his care and patience he was an amazing teacher too, he taught me haftora. He was also a great sofer. Forever that which rabbi gorman has taught me will live on in me

growing up in the uk, mendel was always their at overnight camp. He was funny and chassidish…and passing away on purim was his last joke..may his mishpacha know what any erlhicher yid and chossid he was…bde
R’ Mendel was also an active Sofer STa”M, both in Melbourne and later in London. He wrote the tefillin parshiyos for one of my friends. May the family be comforted and may this sorrow be imminently transformed to days of sosson vsimcha with moshiach, now!
He will be missed for many things… For one, the childrens Megila reading was not the same without him last night at Lubavitch of Edgware, and it will miss him forever more…😥
May Hashem comfort his Aishes Chayil and precious children, together with his dear parents and siblings.
