Ever since the day I put light to your Shiva Candle, I think about you. always. I have read all the stories that are written about you on this web site and the Letter, written by Mushkie’s Husband. I gaze at the Photo showing you holding your First Grand child, with your usual smile of Loving Pride. I have always had Photos of Our Family on a display. Now you, My Dear Brother, and our Dear Mother , are there for my memory. One photo that still shows, for so many years, is when our Grandmother held Chami, when she… Read more »

As your older Brother, I am still stunned and shocked at your sudden passing. Considering I only knew of your illness 4 days earlier, I know that you accomplished many wonderful and passionate mitzvahs during your lifetime ,whether in your personal life and professionally. Chaya and I will miss you with all our hearts. May you rest in peace and love, and join our Dear Mother Ruth forever.. Love Jack (Yacov)
I know Meir from when he was a bachur, and we spent shabbos together at my father’s house in Palo Alto. Later, when I visited SA for my Chasunah, I spent Shabbos several times at Meir’s house.
I was always struck by his knowledge, warmth and humor. His passing is a terrible loss and I still cant believe it.

R’ Meir Lewin built an enormous replica of 770, the size of a dresser.
I would wonder at it every time I came over to play with Levi as a child.
It would be wonderful if the world could see a picture of it.
I hold onto our memories. The ones that are so dear. To try to keep you always close. Now you are not here, You were called. It was your time. But it is so true. You have left a legacy. There was no one like you. You were so very special. I want to say, I feel lost in many ways. You are not here today, But I will never forget you. I know I have been blessed to have you as my brother. Because you were the best. You can never know , How many lives you have touched,… Read more »
BDE Very much saddened over hearing this tragic news. I knew R’ Meir Lewin for many years. With him in CGI Montreal, Yeshiva TT”L Morristown and in CGI Denver where he was director of the camp. As Bochur in 770 R’ Meir was very involved in the Rebbe’s Mivtzoim and in printing Tanyas in many remote places.
May his Neshomo be a Meilitz Yosher and request from Hashem that ‘ Ad Mosai ‘ we must have the Geulah Sheleimo Now !
No words for such a tragedy. He was such a lichtig person, whose kindness shines through his family.
Meir was originally from Montreal. He was in yeshiva in Morristown and a shliach in the Seattle yeshiva.
Then he was in 770 etc. He was in CGI – head counsellor in Denver in 1979.
