By popular demand, the weekly riveting Torah class by Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Jacobson, one of the most sought after speakers in the Jewish world today, will be aired on COLlive.com.
The weekly class, initiated a number of years ago by our Hebrew sister-site COL.org.il, has grown to attracting thousands of viewers each week.
Its chief patron is the young Columbus entrepreneur David Schottenstein, founder and CEO of Astor and Black Custom Clothiers, and its main home today is TheYeshiva.net.
In these classes, accompanied by a full curriculum and used by Shluchim and teachers around the world, Jacobson explores fascinating themes in the Parsha and their application to our emotional and psychological inner world, based on the teachings of Chassidus and the Rebbe.
“This may be the most popular class in the world each week,” George from Sydney wrote to Jacobson, who is also the spiritual leader of Congregation Bais Shmuel Chabad in Crown Heights.
Tamir Goodman, the now retired Orthodox Jewish basketball player, said he once played on of the classes to the owner of his team whose “Yiddishe Neshama is really starting to come out.”
“It was probably the first time he ever heard a Torah class before and he was blown away,” Tamir says. “These shiurim inspire us in an increasing manner every week.”
Rabbi Jacobson expressed excitement over the new collaboration between TheYeshiva.net and COLlive.com – the Chabad-Lubavitch community news service – that was finalized on Friday.
“The call of the hour is, in the Rebbe’s words, ‘to conquer the world through Torah study.’ This collaboration will help make this ‘conquest’ a reality,” Jacobson said.
Come join us for the largest virtual Torah class in the world, right here at COLlive.com – every Monday at 8:00 pm Eastern Time.
