In this episode we uncover the life of R’ Yankel Boruch Karasik, born in the small town of Lapitch to Rabbi Mordechai Shmuel and Chaya Sarah Karasik. With distinguished lineage tracing back to the chassid R’ Binyamin Kletzker. R’ Yankel Boruch’s journey began at the Tomchei Tmimim Yeshiva in Lubavitch and continued under the mentorship of R’ Shmuel Gronem Esterman at the Zembin branch, where he excelled in both revealed Torah study and heartfelt devotion. Known for his humility and piety, he was appointed as a Mashgiach at the Lubavitch yeshiva in 1910, a role he continued when the yeshiva moved to Kremenchug.
