R’ Rafael Namdar, father, grandfather and great grandfather of a large family of chassidim and shluchim passed away on Shabbos parshas Chayei Sarah.
He was 93.
R’ Namdar had the great zchus to have been “handpicked” by the Rebbe to be connected to him, and he continued his unique and close relationship with the Rebbe during the years he lived in Milan.
In recent years, he moved with his wife to New York.
“R’ Namdar leaves behind a legacy of yiras shamayim and love for the Rebbe,” a relative told COLlive.
He leaves behind his wife, Malka Namdar, and children: Dani a”h, Yisroel (Milan), Rachel Vardi (Tel Aviv), Rabbi Michoel Namdar (NY), Batsheva Chamami (Rechovot), Shmuel Namdar (Long Island) and Rabbi Alexander Namdar, head shliach to Sweden.
The levaya will leave Shomrei Hadas tomorrow, Sunday at 9:45 am, and pass by 770 at 10:45 am.
