R’ Noach Baum, a resident of Montreal who survived the war to build a proud Jewish family, passed away on Monday, 20 Sivan, 5781.
He was 97.
A unique and humble man, who despite his many struggles during the war, he fought hard to survive, and survive he did.
He was a very dear husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was zoche to see much nachas from his family of three generations.
He had an incredible sense of humor, had a kind word for everyone and had tremendous Simchas Hachaim.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sara Baum and children, Helen Zajdel, Miriam Benjamin and Avremel Baum of Montreal, Canada, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son Yankel Baum OBM.
