In this week’s episode we step into the world of Rabbi Chaim Dovid Zvi Chein, known as the “Radatz,” a towering figure among the Chabad rabbis during the era of the Rebbe Maharash and the Rebbe Rashab, serving as the rabbi of Chernigov.
Born into the esteemed family of Rabbi Peretz Chein of Tcherinigov, the Radatz was among the select few to receive rabbinic ordination directly from the Rebbe Maharash, accompanied by a special blessing from the Tzemach Tzedek.
In 5685, the Radatz moved to Jerusalem, where he settled and continued to inspire others with his teachings. However, his time in Jerusalem was short-lived, as he passed away just nine months after his arrival, leaving behind a legacy of wisdom and devotion.
