Yeshivas Tzeirei HaShluchim in Tzfat was the source of the strange-looking ads resembling an incomplete puzzle posted on COLlive.com over the last 2 weeks.
The campaign is a run-up to their 13th anniversary dinner later this month, to be held on Iyar 13 to coincide with the 60th year since the passing of R’ Yisroel Arye Leib Schneerson OBM.
Preceding the dinner will be a group visit to the kever in Tzfas, a custom that was always much appreciated by his brother, the Rebbe.
The dinner will be attended by supporters and alumni from around the world – albeit from the comfort of their own living rooms, making it perhaps the first ever benefit dinner in Chabad to be streamed via live webcast.
“Since our friends and alumni live all over the world, we came up with idea of holding a virtual online dinner so that everyone can participate,” explains Rabbi Chaim Kaplan, Director of the Yeshiva.
“At the same time we are fulfilling the Rebbe’s instruction to utilize all of the technological mediums at our disposal to further the causes of unity and hafatzah.”
The event will featuring special guests and be an opportunity to reconnect friends, do something special in honor of Reb Yisroel Aryeh Leib and support of a Yeshiva that serves children of the Rebbe’s Shluchim.
As part of its mandate, the Yeshiva offers subsidized tuition that makes a top-tier yeshiva in Israel fit the limited budget of Shluchim. Proceeds from the dinner will contribute to the Yeshiva’s scholarship fund.
“My father, Head Shliach Rabbi Leibel Kaplan OBM, envisioned this Yeshiva as a sanctuary that would address the unique needs of shluchim’s children who will serve as future leaders in communities around the world,” explains Rabbi Chaim Kaplan, Chairman of Agudat Kiryat Chabad of Tzfat.
With a beautiful, spacious new building complete in last few years in a quiet neighborhood with sweeping views of Tzfat and the Galil, and with 13 years of experience now under its belt, the Yeshiva is gearing up for a record enrollment next year.
