I was recently asked this question: Isn’t it ironic that the Kinus Hashluchos, a huge affair that celebrates women taking very public leadership roles, specifically coincides with 22 Shevat, when the Rebbetzin was such a private individual, who shunned the limelight?
And how do the Shluchos take inspiration in their “out there” roles from such a private individual?
Here is my response (taken from a longer class), addressing inwardness versus externality, and how the Rebbetzin taught us what it means to have a strong inner compass.
Wonderful & inspirational class.
