At 10:30 pm local time (3:30 pm NY time) a private Medevac flight left for Israel from a former Soviet Republic with eight passengers on board.
The plane will touch down at Ben Gurion Airport at 1 am, and from there 4 patients will be taken directly to medical care for evaluation and treatment.
None of this would have been possible without the outpouring of love and support from Anash and Shluchim worldwide. Close to 800 donors collectively contributed over $70,000 in 5 hours!
What initially started as an attempt to evacuate one Shlucha in her ninth month of pregnancy and with Covid-19, quickly turned into a major campaign as we ĺearned of additional Shluchim who were infected and required medical care abroad.
In total four adults and four children boarded this fight.
The operation was therefore delayed for several hours as new arrangements and permits had to be worked out to accommodate the additional seven patients.
