At approximately 9:00 pm Wednesday evening, a teenage Jewish male was mugged while walking towards his home on Crown Street between Brooklyn and New York Avenues.
An official from the 71st Precinct in Crown Heights told COLlive the victim was approached by two male black men, who demanded “give me all your stuff.”
The teen at first ignored them and continued walking home, but they followed him to his home on Crown Street.
When he got to his front door, the perps tried to enter his house, however his brother came to the door and a fight broke out.
At this point one of the perps pulled out a gun and was able to take both of the victim’s cellphones.
During the scuffle, 911 was called, and the police responded to the location, whereupon the perps fled the scene.
One of the muggers, a 19 year old black male, was apprehended by police in the alleyway on Crown Street near Albany Avenue, and both cell phones were found in his possession, a police source from the local precinct told COLlive.
The second perp, however, fled with the gun, and police are still searching for him. He is still at large, and police ask anyone with information, or who was witness to the crime, to call the Precinct.

The first perpetrator obviously knows who the second perpetrator was but since they let the first one go, nothing will come of it.
It would be nice if the state and city of New York approved conceal carry laws and adopt the castle doctrine.But good luck with the wonderful mayor and corrupted state and city officials we have .

Wow, its nice to see the police actually trying to take care of the situation. i hope they dont claim that they are looking for the guy, and that they actually are looking for him. in the meantime, its vital that we all learn self defense (and give extra tzedaka!)

In respns to 1: It’s very simple…because criminals break the law…the only ones affected by the current gun control laws are those wanting to defend themselves against the criminals.
Why can criminals have guns in NYC but citizens without a criminal record cannot?
