Close to 1,000 children came with their parents to the Anderson Field at Schenley Park in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, to celebrate the festive day of Lag BaOmer.
The good weather allowed for the entire program to be held outdoors which is customary in Jewish communities on this day.
The program began with a rally that included reciting the 12 Pesukim, songs and words of inspiration by Head Shliach Rabbi Yisroel Rosenfeld, Yeshiva Schools principal Rabbi Yossi Rosenblum and others.
Participating children won prizes in raffles on a basketball hoop, an electric scooter, and rollerblades. Special thanks was given to the organizers Rabbi Yisroel Altein, Rabbi Chony Friedman and the Shluchim.
The event also included a show by a stunt team and there was a carnival featuring moon bounces, inflatable rides, a petting zoo, pony rides, live music and even Rita’s Italian ices.
