Israel’s Defense Minister Benny Gantz was in attendance at a wedding of an Israeli Couple in Cyprus this week, hosted by the Chief Rabbi of Cyprus, Rabbi Arie Zeev Raskin.
The minister excitedly recounted his memories of the previous meeting, when they wrote a letter together in the special Torah scroll at the Tzuk Eitan center in Limassol, Cyprus, dedicated to Israeli soldiers in Operation Eitan, where he served as chief of staff.
Thanks to the Chief Rabbinate of Cyprus, many Jewish couples choose Cyprus as their wedding destination.
“With this year’s wedding season in full swing, we are officiating marriages all across our beautiful island,” Rabbi Raskin said.
