Ten Chabad-Lubavitch teens on ‘Pedi-Sukkahs’ paraded on Fifth Avenue in New York City on Monday, October 6, 2014.
The Pedi-Sukkahs are modified pedi-cabs with a Sukkah — a hut-like structure covered with bamboo — attached in the back.
The goal of the parade was to create awareness for the upcoming Jewish holiday of Sukkot, a seven day, biblically mandated holiday which begins this Wednesday, October 8 and ends after nightfall on October 15.
There will be ‘Pedi-Sukkahs’ around the world, including in Canada, Denmark, England, Australia, Holland and France, as well as in 14 states across the United States.
