Hi Boys and Girls!
Welcome back to the Parsha Studio!
This week is none other than the Yom Tov of Purim! Yes, it’s the Yom Tov where we get many treats, dress up, and feast!
A special Purim treat that we will be making today is S’mores Hamantashen! A triangle-shaped cookie filled to the brim with marshmallow fluff gooeyness. The flavor balance of chocolatey biscuit and perfectly roasted marshmallow fluff hits just right. One of the reasons the delicious filling is hiding inside is to teach us that Hashem is always there doing miracles for us, but sometimes like in the Purim story, the miracle is hiding.
The story of Purim appears to be a natural sequence of events. Queen Vashti disobeyed the king and was consequently killed. Esther then became queen and saved the Jews. However, it is important to note that all of this was orchestrated by Hashem. He watches over all of his creations, whether we see them as a miracle or a regular occurrence.
