Hi Boys and Girls! Welcome back to the Parsha Studio!
This week’s Parsha, Parshas Eikev, tells us about the holy land of Eretz Yisrael that the Jewish people will be entering. Finally, the Jewish people will reach their destination after many years of traveling. Moshe explained Eretz Yisrael as a “land flowing with milk and honey.” One reason is that milk symbolizes superior quality, richness of taste, and nourishment, while honey represents sweetness. The goodness of Israel is both nourishing and pleasant.
Today, let’s observe an experiment that will imitate the quote “land flowing with milk and honey.” This will be done by creating a “Lava Lamp” using baking soda, oil, and vinegar, resembling a cup of honey and flowing milk. This experiment will create an explosive bubble reaction, as the vinegar is lighter than the oil, allowing the liquid to flow through the oil, creating a groovy “flowing milk & honey” experiment. Cool!
