based on the letter just released from the majority of the Zablo Beis Din this psak has no relevance

go zaki
March 26, 2011 11:44 pm

Zaki has a responsibility to pay the rabbonim. Withholdong their salary is an issur d’oraisa. (both a positive and negative.) He went to a neutral Beis Din because by now everyone is a nogeya b’davar. Currently, Rabbi Braun has Semicha. Whether people like it or not, rabbi Shwei has given him Semicha and so he will not be a Rov without Semicha. The style of the election was unfortunate, and the selection of candidates was flawed, but the elections were legal. Let’s move on and try and save our community!

All of you questioning the logic of a third party b.d. disqualifying a 3rd party b.d. aren’t all that smart, are you? Think about it and it will make sense. But enough with you nay-sayers.

This smicha thing has been a complete red-herring. To think that suddenly everyone’s up in arms about this is laughable; which is why R. Braun is smart in ignoring them. If it weren’t this, it would be something else.

M.T. to R. Braun. I’m sure that with some time in the service of the community you will be loved and appreciated.

great, now can we get back to ....
March 26, 2011 10:23 pm

bringing the geulah….remember that thing?

Rabbi Gruber
March 26, 2011 9:58 pm

Rabbi Yidel Gruber is not involved in kashrus he is a Dayan involved in Diney Torah.
The one in hechsherim is his brother Rabbi Binyomin Gruber.

g-d will is done

Internet chachomim
March 26, 2011 9:17 pm

It’s moredik to witness the bukius and chariffus that internet commentor show in halacha and dinei torah.

Have a shaaleh? Forget going to rabbonim! Post it on a website and wait for the psak of the comments!

The reason for his psak is because an outside beis can’t over rule this beis din, whats so hard about that to understand, meaning he is not giving a new psak but rather defending the first one.

who does he give kasrus to?
March 25, 2011 6:51 pm

a verdict that is so clear against halacha, “that you can not go to another beis din???? but he can give a verdict???? we need to know where he gives a hechsser since we can no longer eat that food.

March 25, 2011 6:42 pm

i say lets dissolve the CH beis din and only go to this rabbi who zaki went to

nishtkosher
March 25, 2011 6:21 pm

So let me get this straight, an outside beis din rules that an outside beis din has no right to rule on crown heights matters … does anyone else see the flaw in this logic?

wiliamsburg????
March 25, 2011 5:40 pm

why are we going to wiliamsburg for advice in crown heights issues????????

who cares
March 25, 2011 5:29 pm

what does have to do with smicha or not. does rabbi braun have smicha or not? if yes lets see it if not he should not be rov!! this psak is missing the point

this is the problem
March 25, 2011 5:28 pm

each person is going to their own rov who only hears one side. and rabbi rosenberg gave a psak on his own without the other 4. this rov is correct all 5 need to sit down and listen to both sides and come out with a psak that all 5 will sign until then rabbi braun is no rov of crown heights and we will be back where it all started

shnaz
March 25, 2011 5:12 pm

whoops! spoke to soon!

Here it comes...
March 25, 2011 5:04 pm

Here comes a NEW conspirecy theory in 3… 2… 1…

When do we get to see the psak?
March 25, 2011 4:54 pm

When is that psak going to be posted? If you don’t have it, why are you reporting?

To #1, 5, 7, 9
March 25, 2011 4:53 pm

Here’s is why, as Tamir wrote on his blog:

I’ve been asked numerous times for information about the rabbonim I am going to for counsel now that Rabbi Rosenberg is retired from the zablo.

In the interest of the rabbonim involved, that has to stay confidential for now. It’s no secret that those who are involved in this Din Torah are subject to a shocking amount of harassment and manipulation, myself included.

Unidentified = Unacceptable
March 25, 2011 4:50 pm

Is the future of a community the size an importance of CH going to be determined by an unidentified Rov?? No way!

LOL
March 25, 2011 4:49 pm

This is getting funnier by the day

For all the arguments and all, you would have thought that we are dealing here with millions of dollar, and substantial real estate around new york like what the Satmar fight on….

Maybe it is actually a blessing that crown heights does not have much to fight over. An office here, an aliya there, a kibud under the chupa? m’kein shoin meinen…

Sholom Dovber
March 25, 2011 4:48 pm

What is the name of this new rabbi, the lack of identification demonstrates lack of integrity.
Mr Zaki why are you playing this game
So let the CHJCC turn to the now leaderless Zablo Beis Din.
What a pathetic joke.
R’ Yosef Braun can twist and turn with his supporters in toe, however he will never be part of the CHBD.

March 25, 2011 4:42 pm

hmm – thought i read that braun (is he a rav-still not clear) resigned — if so — what do we have to follow a psak that should be null and void

if he didnt resign – then why cant he just produce the papers being asked for, give them to whoever (even and out of town rav) to have them verified or not

hits is exactly the reason mosiach is not here – we fight too darn much over nothing and therefore nothing gets dont

lets just finish this
March 25, 2011 4:38 pm

Your title seems to imply that another anonymous Rav decided to add his two cents to the matter. Your article, though, states that Zaki Tamir turned to this Rav on his own. And given the pleasant dispositions of everyone involved, it’s no wonder he would want to remain anonymous. Please stop twisting semantics. Please stop trying to fire up people.

Just let this matter rest. Lets have achdus.

Thank you.

wow
March 25, 2011 4:29 pm

a clear win for r’ braun

what is left to see is whether all sides respect the new psak

either way r’ braun can now assume office without any headaches

The Rav is...
March 25, 2011 4:28 pm

Rabbi Rosenberg! Of course! He officially resigned, so he can pull the strings from behind the curtains without having to answer to anyone!

NOT ENOUGH
March 25, 2011 4:25 pm

WE NEED PEACE<< STOP FIGHTING WE DONT CARE WHO IS THE RAV

Name pls!!
March 25, 2011 4:24 pm

whats the rov’s name???!?!?
