A public Menorah lighting took place at “The Green” in Downtown New Haven.
The Menorah was lit by Mayor John DeStefano and Attorney General Richard Blumenthal.
Over 150 people watched the menorah being lit on one of the coldest nights of the year. It was followed by New Haven’s first ever Stretch Hummer Parade which included 45 cars sliding through almost a foot of snow, ending with a Grand Chanuka Celebration and Chanuka Play at Yeshivas Beis Dovid Shlomo.
