Classmates and staff of the Nigri International Shluchim Online School joined together in Crown Heights for their annual reunion and Day of Celebration.
The virtual school of the Shluchim Office directed by Morah Devora Leah Weiss (Notik) and Rabbi Yehoshua Steinberg, provides a robust Chassidishe education for the sons and daughters of Chabad Shluchim throughout the world.
Every year, the boys eagerly await the annual Day of Celebration where they get to meet and spend a day with their classmates and teachers. The event has become a highlight for the students, a program celebrating their friendships, learning, and unique school.
“The Nigri Shluchim Online School is a lifeline for our children,” shared Rabbi Michoel Goldman, Shliach in Hawaii. “They get to have Chevreshaft and friends they don’t have at home. They have excellent Rebbeim who instill a Chayus for learning, my son is now learning Mishanyus and it’s been amazing.”
This year’s event was dedicated in memory of Rabbi Zvi Kogan H”YD.
The event kicked off with the boys finally meeting each other, getting their custom t-shirts and Yarmulkas and participating in their very own art workshop with artist Yitzchok Moully.
During the art workshop, the fathers had their own Chinuch Farbrengen with Rabbi Shmuel Lew and Rabbi Yosef Greenberg.
Afterwards they all joined together for the main event, which included a special presentation celebrating 18 years of the Nigri Shluchim Online School. What started as a phone school with a small number of students has grown over the years to a full-fledged virtual school with multiple divisions in varied time zones, making Chassidishe Chinuch possible for Shluchim wherever they are.
The program continued with teacher appreciation and an exciting roll call with lively dancing, finishing with the highly anticipated raffle for the Mivtza Lulav campaign, in which the students got a total of 10,396 Yidden to shake Lulav.
The boys left the program elevated and inspired for an incredible year of learning in their places of Shlichus.
A special thank you is extended to principal Rabbi Yehoshua Steinberg and team including Rabbi Mayer Kosofsky, Rabbi Shneur Deren, Mrs. Altie Kaminetzky, Morah Sorale Vogel, Yisroel Taub, Yossi Goodman, Mendel Benjaminson and Mendel Greenberg.

Amazing
It’s amazing and so special that our children are able to get a Chassidishe Chinuch and have friends from around the world! TY to Rabbi Gedalya and Bassie Shemtov who’s standing in the lead and fundraiser for the deficits. We are grateful to the principles and the amazing dedicated teachers. Thank you to all those involved and all the teachers who traveled to make the day of celebration as beautiful as it was. It is truly a highlight of the year for the children.
