On Sunday, Sivan 10, a Kinnus Torah was held in the main zal of Oholei Torah Mesivta on Troy Avenue with the members of the hanhola, students and special guests.
Opening the evening was Rabbi Zushe Wilhelm, Menahel, who expounded on the idea of the Kinnusim Torah connected with the three Yomim Tovim, and the encouragement of the Rebbe for such events.
On behalf of the hanholas Hayeshiva, Rabbi Chaim Yisroel Wilhelm, Rabbi Mendel Pewzner and Rabbi Levi Matusof each spoke.
Rabbi Wilhelm then introduced the special guests, Rabbi Aaron Schapiro of Bnai Brak, Israel, the Rosh Yeshiva of Mesivta D’Rashbi, who spoke about the importance and uniqueness of learning Rashi in light of the Rebbe’s hadrocha. Following that, Rabbi Mendel Gordon, Mashpia from London, England, spoke of the special connection of the Ba’al Shemtov and Chag Hashavuos.
The Kinnus gave much encouragement o the bochurim, and added greatly to the learning in the days following Chag Matan Torah.
