It seems that as thieves get more sophisticated with tech scams, prevention of credit or debit card theft may be elusive. So, what would be wrong with this idea: Have one account without a card – call it the “reserve” account- and have another account with the card, which you keep empty or only emergency money. When you need to use the card, then transfer the money you need from the reserve account.
