Former South Carolina governor and U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley ended her presidential campaign on Wednesday, paving the way for Donald Trump to become the Republican nominee for the 2024 presidential elections.
Haley had the support of the anti-Trump faction within the Republican party, yet she failed to draw wider support in the primaries. On Super Tuesday, she only won one state.
In total, she only had 89 delegates to win the nomination. Trump secured 995 delegates. 1,215 delegates are needed to win the nomination.
In a statement, she wrote: “I end my campaign with the same words I began it from the Book of Joshua. I direct them to all Americans, but especially to so many of the women and girls out there who put their faith in our campaign. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. For God will be with you wherever you go.”
She added, “In this campaign, I have seen our country’s greatness. From the bottom of my heart – thank you America. God bless.”
In her concession speech in Charleston, South Carolina, Haley didn’t endorse Trump, who is now set to for a rematch against President Joe Biden.
According to a report in AP, Haley has made clear she doesn’t want to serve as Trump’s vice president or run on a third-party ticket arranged by the group No Labels. She leaves the race with an elevated national profile that could help her in a future presidential run.

She was the only one that truly stood up for Israel instead what we have is two old men as our only options
I happen to agree that she was a great friend of Israel. However Trump was as well and seems to be saying quite excellent things to people who meet with him and discuss the subject, from what I have heard. And in any case there is no comparison between him and Biden, who is surrounded by people deeply hostile to us. May Trump win. The world was a much brighter place for us in 2019.
A lot of her ideas were horrible, especially as a woman who for some reason could not care less about women’s rights, but at least she supported Nato and Ukraine and replaced missing dignity in the R party. Hashem should guard us against trump and please let Biden win.
Have the past 4 years not taught us anything?
I’d rather a controversial twitter personality who gets the job done over a politically “correct” man whose more suited for a nursing home than the white house.
We need Trump to set this country straight. So quick to forget how he got rid of ISIS (remember those guys?).
Biden belongs in a White Hair House. Not the White House.
you want a demented old man to run this country becuase you hate trump
Interesting that Israel does not cross your lips.
Biden is surrounded by people who are deeply hostile to us, and we are in danger. May Trump win.
I had relatives who were butchered in Ukraine. Forgive me if Ukraine is not my priority. Please don’t use the name of the Almighty, thanks.
Have no clue where the above comments are coming from. nikki stayed in for way too long, depended on anti-trump sentiments with a hint of new-age progressive focus on identity politics. She realistically never had a chance. Now is the time for everyone to wake up and support the only choice for survival of this great country and oppose any MAGA haters. This is the best for both Israel and the world.
She is a friend of Israel. So is former President Trump. I hope and pray for his victory, and may we return to the good days of 2019.
