There’s a new generation of parents today who are finding inspiration in coming together as a family and watching a video of the Rebbe. Once a week. Every week.
“This is something that has become a weekly routine that our kids look forward to,” says Sara Alevsky, of Cleveland, Ohio. The proud mother of six and her husband Mendy, have been committed to this routine for some time now and have been reaping the benefits.
“About a year ago, JEM changed their format to an excellent weekly short film,” adds her husband Mendy, “the films are eminently watchable for the whole family,” he says.
We asked the kids what they liked about the videos. “We like the personal stories,” says Zalmy, 10, and how the Rebbe was so caring about every Yid.”

As a mom, this was so heart warming to see.
Our kids are too young right now for this. But Be’H.
We watch it as a family every Motzei Shabbos.
It’s a powerful way to start the week with the Rebbe playing. My older kids (10 and 11) are tuned in and it’s an opportunity for us to discuss the Rebbe and what’s going on in the video.
I strongly suggest it.
Thank you!
The kid is right, the most touching are the personal stories with the Rebbe
We watch with our family every week and I see a huge impact on all of us
