New Shluchim to Tennessee

Rabbi Mendel and Chana Baron (née Tiechtel), are establishing the first Chabad house in Williamson County, TN. The new Shluchim have been appointed by Rabbi Yitzchok and Esther Tiechtel, Shluchim to Nashville, TN.

While hundreds of Jewish families live throughout the greater area, there is currently no Jewish programming in the county to serve the growing community. Inspired by the Rebbe’s vision of reaching every single Jew, the Barons plan to change that through warm Shabbos meals, inviting events, Torah classes, and more! As one local put it, “Chabad could not have come at a better time.”

Rabbi Tiechtel said that given the exponential growth of the Jewish community in Williamson County, establishing a permanent Chabad center became imperative. The area is home to many Jewish families, both young and old, and they are excited to connect with them and strengthen their connection to Yiddishkeit.

“We are thrilled to establish a home for Jewish life in Williamson County,” says Rabbi Mendel Baron. “Recently over the past few years, the local Jewish population has expressed the need for consistent Jewish programs and resources close to home. We are excited to provide a space where every Jew in Williamson County can feel welcomed, connected, and supported.
