Chabad on Campus is proud to announce the opening of a new Chabad House serving Jewish students at Brooklyn Law School.
Beginning this fall semester, Rabbi Eliyahu and Shaindy Raskin (nee Holtzberg) have opened their home to Jewish students from all backgrounds, as well as offering a full program of exciting events, including weekly Friday night Shabbat dinners, Bagels lox and torah days, and social programs.
Brooklyn Law School (BLS) is a prominent graduate law school founded in 1901. It is located in Brooklyn Heights, New York City and has produced a number of luminaries.
Included among them are New York City Mayor David Dinkins, Judges Jack Weinstein (US Eastern District of New York) and Frank Altimari (US Court of Appeals for the Second circuit) and billionaire real estate developers Leon Charney and Larry Silverstein.
Jewish attendance at Brooklyn Law School has grown significantly in recent years and there are currently hundreds of Jewish students.
Marking the coming academic year, the new shluchim recently hosted an introductory event aimed at introducing themselves to the Jewish students at the school. Many people attended the event to show their support and interest in full time Jewish activities on campus.
The growth and development of Chabad at Brooklyn Law School is made possible due to the generous support and partnership of Jewish philanthropist Mr. George Rohr.
MAZAL TOV AND GREAT SUCCESS IN EVERYTHING YOU DO.
