New Principal Joins Bais Rivkah Primary

Bais Rivkah Elementary School has announced the appointment of a new principal.

Morah Shterna S. Avtzon will be joining the leadership of the primary department, working alongside Mrs. Dinah Brawer, who currently serves as the primary department principal, leading both the Hebrew and English departments through many significant changes, the Board said.

Morah Avtzon has been a teacher in grade 3 for many years, and for the past five years has also led the team of teachers with professional mentoring and curriculum development. Morah Avtzon has unique expertise in the areas of special education and teacher training.

As principal, Morah Avtzon will be working closely with teachers, students and parents as well as overseeing our curriculum, the board said.

“We are confident that her dedication and success will be evident in the future growth and development of our student body and staff. Morah Avtzon will also work closely with the principals of our other departments to help build a stronger skill foundation and bridge goals as students move through the grades,” they said.

“As we approach the end of our school year we give שבח והודי-ה to Hashem for having been able to provide our girls with a true Chasidishe chinuch in these unprecedented times. They have been imbued with the message that no matter what our circumstances, Torah is חיינו ואורך ימינו and we will always continue to endure and grow,” they said.

“We now look forward to rededicating ourselves to the task of educating our daughters in the year ahead and meeting every student’s individual needs.”
