Yeshiva Beis Dovid Shlomo of New Haven is not closing the books during the summer months but is also not being confined to Connecticut life.
Their bochurim can be seen these days learning and enjoying the open spaces of Mequon, a city in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, which contains hundreds of acres of community parks and nature.
The getaway began on Tammuz 5 and will keep on for some 5 weeks combining the intense yeshiva atmosphere with the peaceful surroundings.
Mashpia Rabbi Meir Chaim Posner and the Nigleh Maggid Shiur Rabbi Schneur Zalman Kessler are leading the group of 40.
Mequon’s Head Shluchim Rabbi Dovid and Faige Rapoport are their gracious hosts with bochurim helping the Chabad House with Mivtzoim and learning with locals.
They also staged an amateur concert for elderly Jewish men and women at a senior citizen home.
