The Chassidic Life Podcast, just six weeks old, has already reached 20,000 listeners.
The launch of the podcast series and website called Chassidiclife.com, is with the goal to create open and honest, genuine conversations about the joys and challenges we all face at various intersections of our lives.
“Young people want to lead vibrant joyful lives imbued with the wisdom and guidance of Chassidus of our dear Rebbe,” says Shlucha Mrs. Yehudis Bluming, organizer of the podcast. “It is our honor and responsibility to create a platform on which our Rabbonim and educators can share the knowledge that Torah and Chassidus offers. I watched my mother dedicate her life to Bochurim and young ladies, helping them with shidduchim, and so many in the general community. She merited to make hundreds of shidduchim who have since built beautiful homes. I dedicate these podcast series in honor of my mother, Rochel Heber obm and in honor of Rebbetzin Esther Bluming who has been a huge inspiration for this project.”
With so much influence from social media and the secular world, our generation is faced with a unique challenge to find clarity. What makes this Podcast unique is that it isn’t a podcast “from the podium” rather a podcast with a “finger on the pulse,” Bluming says.
“The conversations are all based on questions we have received from the audience and the challenges they face. We have received over 500 questions and have lined up 60 presenters to help address these personal questions.”
The greatest gift we can give each other, is the knowledge that “Chassidim Ein Mishpocha” and the support that whichever stage we are going through, we are not alone. There is a support system of Mashpim, Rabbonim, Educators there to hold our hand.
The presenters have masterfully shown that there is no dichotomy between the world we are living in and the well-trodden path of Chassidus.
Baruch Hashem – The feedback has been humbling Bluming says.
“Since the launch of the podcast, many couples have reached out thanking us for these wonderful presentations and a refreshing chassidish perspective on life and marriage,” she says.
A Shidduch coach related that a couple who were dating reached out to her after hearing her presentation on the podcast as they were at an impasse and with her guidance worked through their questions and got engaged shortly afterward.
Some Bochurim shared that they began to seek professional help after hearing about the need to take care of their own ‘baggage’ before marriage.
Parents related they reached out to Shadchanim with more clarity and got back on track to helping their children in a productive way.
The organization is overseen and supported by Senior Rabbonim and Esteemed Mashpiim.
The podcast currently includes five tracks:
1)Bochurim 2) Newly-Married men 3) Teenagers 4) Single Ladies (In partnership with Mikvah.org ) 5) Mothers
